Harting
Festivities Monday 28th May 2007
The organising committee has been very busy over the past two months,
pulling together a wide range of entertainments, activities and
fundraising opportunities for this year’s Festivities.
Entertainments
These will include a New Orleans style Jazz Band. For children and grown
ups there will be a number of new stalls including a Formula One driving
simulator and Speed Test. The Kidsrome Animal Farm will be a new
feature this year, as well as a traditional Punch & Judy show. There
will also be dancing, a giant bouncy castle, pole joust, all sorts of
stalls, sideshows and lots of things to eat & drink.

number of activities to take part in, including:

10's and 10’s and over
-
Flower

Fundraising
We have now received a significant number of requests from Harting
organisations for financial assistance and, as ever, we hope to raise as
much money as possible to help support these local projects. To this
end, and for the first time, we have joint sponsors of the Festivities –
The Estate Agents, Humberts (Petersfield) and Alitex Greenhouses. There
will also be a Festivities programme, supported by local businesses. The
programme will be free of charge and distributed in advance of the
Festivities. Raffle tickets will be available after Easter. We hope to
sell 50% more this year so, if you can help, please contact Linda
Mitchell (01730 825828 –
dmlm@btinternet.com)
Help on the day
We are always fortunate in the number of people who turn out, year on
year, to help with the Festivities. There will be a need for even more
support, so, if you can spare an hour or two on the day, we should very
much like to hear from you. Please contact Frances Wealleans (fwealleans@btconnect.com
Tel. 826888)
And don’t forget to be ready with books, bottles and cakes for the
stalls!
Further updates will appear, from time to time, on this website and in
the May edition of the Parish News.
